Old Ways Days to be celebrated Oct. 21 and 22 in Canterbury


CANTERBURY — Old Ways Days will be marked Oct. 21 and 22 by Dave and Anne Emerson at Old Ways Traditions418 Shaker Road, Canterbury. New this year will be authentic flint knapping (flaking flint for arrowheads and cutting tools – it’s very sharp), the oldest craft they’ve had at Old Ways, perhaps the oldest, period. They will also have spinning, stone cutting, broom making, spoon making, wood turning, hiking trails, and more. Old Ways Days will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, with a jam at 3 p.m. Kids and adults are welcome to try antique tools at Old Ways Days.
