Photo: Hayden MeikleOld Boys gained revenge for last year's dramatic Citizens Shield final loss with a 61-12 thumping of Maheno in the second round of North Otago club rugby today. In glorious conditions at Centennial Park, Old Boys found plenty of space and enjoyed running with the ball in hand, scoring nine tries from all over the field. Maheno, already depleted, lost two players to injury in the first half and struggled to match Old Boys' physicality, but the defending champion finished well and scored a couple of morale-boosting tries. At Weston, Valley consigned Athletic Marist to a second straight loss, winning 31-8.
