Samuel Awoyinfa, Abeokutathe Ogun State government in partnership with Natnud Foods and British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation has empowered 1,000 rural women with 10,000 broilers for poultry farming. This step, they said, was to ensure food security, create female entrepreneurs and improve the living standards of the rural women. The event attended by women from the various local governments in the state was at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta. She said, “This initiative will go a long way in improving the standard of living of the 1,000 beneficiaries. “Despite our evolution of a pure focus on agriculture, our objective remains the same: to improve the lives of people living in rural areas.
