Of Royal Albatross & Hooker Sea lions

With a convincing Scottish feel, the city of Dunedin is fondly called 'the Edinburgh of the South'. Otago Peninsula boasts of a breeding colony of the royal albatross and its rugged coastline is frequented by rare New Zealand Hooker sea lions. We could not spot the Hooker sea lions or fur seals, but the rare yellow-eyed penguins gave us a glimpse into their charming little world. The dramatic landscapes host the royal albatross; I spotted one dead bird sprawled in the sand, but still majestic with its impressive wingspan. Betty Mason met us at the 'Warehouse Precinct', and took us on the 'Dunedin Street Art Trail', which was quite impressive.
