She said, “we engaged some of the policemen who actually thought it’s a good thing we were doing but because they were in uniform they couldn’t join us and all that, so you could feel their frustrations too”. Brigitte Dzogbenuku stated that she had to confront the Communications Minister at the time (Edward Omane Boamah) because of some ‘insulting’ comments he made when he was being interviewed by some media personnel. “There was a serious crisis in the country, nothing seemed to be working and they who were in power didn’t seem to care, they didn’t care. On 1st July 2014, some Ghanaians (mainly from the middle class) came together to match against the various economic hardships the country was facing at the time.
