Tony Okafor, AwkaThe Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, on Tuesday, freed 20 prison inmates in the state to mark the Democracy Day. Two of the freed persons, Augustine Emelue and Sunday Agbo, hail from Delta and Ebonyi states respectively. The freed inmates include: Chimezie Ewuzie, Augustine Emelue, Amaechi Edochie, Monday Nwobu, Oluchi Emeodi, Nchedochi Rachel, Sunday Agbo, Christopher Biali, Innocent Nwokeke and Emmanuel Nwoye. Obiano asked the former prisoners to stay away from trouble by being good citizens of the state and Nigeria. While saying they had training in various skills in the prisons, Okeke gave the assurance that any money given to them as empowerment would be used judiciously.
