Olaide Oyelude, KatsinaThe Coalition of Civil Society organisations in Katsina State, on Tuesday, berated the state’s representatives at the National Assembly for low performance. The coalition passed the verdict in Katsina at a press conference addressed by its chairman, Muhammad Bashir Ruwangodiya, to mark the 2018 Democracy Day in the state. The coalition, which is made up of over 200 non-government organisations in the state, insisted that the lawmakers representing the state at the National Assembly had failed in providing good representation to the people of the state. It said, “The coalition has serious concern on the low performance of Katsina State’s representatives at the two chambers of the National Assembly. “Although we cannot generalise, the majority of the members have failed in providing good representation to the people of Katsina State in terms of participation at plenary sessions and constituency engagements.
