“There’s this cat coming out of Muay Thai, out of Dagestan right now, Asadula Imangazaliev, who’s like 22 years old and he’s [expletive] everybody up,” Rogan said. “A Dagestani Muay Thai fighter who has his own style… one of the most terrifying strikers alive right now. A lot of people think he’s the best striker alive.”Rogan was particularly struck by Imangazaliev’s hybrid approach – blending taekwondo, karate and traditional Muay Thai. Next month, Imangazaliev challenges Muay Thai great Nong-O Hama for the vacant ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title at ONE Friday Fights 147, a tentpole event at Lumpinee Stadium. Nong-O remains one of the most decorated fighters in modern Muay Thai and a former longtime bantamweight champion in ONE, revitalised since dropping down a division last year.
