The clashes, which erupted along the Kisumu–Kericho border in areas of Thesalia, Bogwo, and Bangla, have heightened tensions among members of the Koguta Clan, who claim legal ownership of the disputed land. According to the document shared on his post on March 16, 202 governor said the National Land Commission (NLC) had lawfully allocated the land to the Koguta Clan, a decision later upheld by the High Court of Kenya.
