Nur Jazlan claims contracts of civil servants nationwide terminated - Nation

Umno Communications member Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed (pic) claimed in a statement on Tuesday that "thousands" of civil servants have been given the boot. News of the dismissals came after Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad announced his resignation with Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali told to go on leave, and Treasury Secretary-General Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah being transferred to the Public Service Department. "We are very sorry about the action because it was made in a hurry, especially when it was done in the days leading up to Ramadan and Hari Raya Puasa," Nur Jazlan said. "We are sympathetic to those who had their contracts terminated because they are innocent and just doing their job," said Nur Jazlan, who was former deputy home minister. "The Pakatan Harapan Government should think of the best way to utilise these employees instead of letting them go and leaving them unemployed," said Nur Jazlan.
