Nur Jazlan: Funding cuts not stopping war on drugs - Nation


KUALA LUMPUR: The war on drugs has not stopped despite the government facing a weak economy and cuts in fundings, said Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed (pic). Nur Jazlan said the ceremony, the fifth in Pengasih's 25-year history, was a hard-earned achievement. "AADK works closely with Pengasih and other agencies to maximise our effectiveness in the drug war despite the difficult financial situation. These include anti-drug prevention programmes such as "Drug prevention starts at home" - an awareness and education programme focussing on parents and their role in keeping children away from drugs. "The government can't afford to house and rehabilitate all drug addicts in the country.
