The number coding scheme around Metro Manila is still being implemented despite the threat of Typhoon “Ompong”, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Friday. MMDA’s Operations Commander Bong Nebrija told INQUIRER.net that the number coding scheme has not yet been lifted despite threats of flooding in parts of Metro Manila. ADVERTISEMENT“Wala pang lifting [of] the number coding scheme,” Nebrija said in a text message. It was last spotted 540 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora as of 10:00 a.m. as it was moving west-northwest at 20 kph. “Ompong” entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday afternoon and is expected to make landfall on the Cagayan-Isabela area on Saturday morning.
