Virgin Atlantic could face a pilots strike over the busy Christmas period in a row over pay and benefits - causing chaos for thousands of passengers. Virgin pilots, who earn around £150,000 a year, are unhappy with their expenses and benefits, which they claim the airline has slashed. This is despite the union's claim on their website saying they are the 'largest union representing pilots within Virgin Atlantic Airways.' In a statement Virgin Atlantic said: 'Virgin Atlantic is aware that the PPU, which represents a minority of its pilot workforce, may be considering a ballot for industrial action. 'We would like to reassure customers that all Virgin Atlantic flights continue to operate as normal.'
