Now, Mumbai civic body makes a mobile app to help curb monsoon diseases


The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is will launch a mobile phone application called ‘Monsoon Related Diseases’ on Tuesday to provide users information about diseases such as Malaria, Dengue, swine flu, and chikungunya. The application will be available on the Google play store after it is formally launched by Dr Avinash Supe, Dean of KEM hospital, at Lokmanya Tilak Hospital on Tuesday. The mobile application provides information about the symptoms of monsoon related diseases, enlists precautions to prevent catching diseases and also lists out remedies for the diseases. It has informational about cleanliness measures that could be taken to prevent such diseases and types of foods to eat for recovery. The official added, “This application was made with the help of doctors and medical staff, so the information is scientific.”
