LUCKNOW: Lucknow police on Friday registered an FIR against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, party's national general secretary Naseemuddin Siddiqui and a host of other senior leaders of the party on charges of promoting enmity, criminal intimidation and insulting the modesty of a woman.In the FIR, on the complaint of expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh's 76-year-old mother Titra Singh, was lodged in connection with the Thursday's protest by the BSP where the party cadres raised highly objectionable slogans against Dayashankar and his family including his minor daughter.Superintendent of Police (SP) Lucknow East Shivram Yadav said the FIR has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman).
