SHAH ALAM: On a recent Saturday morning when many were enjoying the weekend, one man headed to several playgrounds in his Bukit Jelutong neighbourhood armed with a pail of water, sponges and cleaning detergent. It was to thoroughly clean the community’s outdoor playgrounds’ equipment in an effort to rid them of possible contamination of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). “This morning, many people laughed at me because I was cleaning the children’s playgrounds around the U8 neighbourhood in Bukit Jelutong. “I do this voluntarily with the intention of helping the Bukit Jelutong community. We should not take the 2019-nCoV lightly,” he wrote in his post which has received over 18,000 likes.
