In Godagari Upazila, a 50-year-old man died during the storm being struck by a treebranch, said local police OC Hifzul Alam Munshi. A boat on the Padma River, with six persons onboard, heading towards Rajshahi City's Barakithi area was caught by the storm and sank. Local administration said the storm left several trees uprooted across the city as well as electric cables snapped, leaving a few neighbourhoods without power. Relief efforts have been launched," said Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Kazi Ashraf Uddin. At least 10 neighbouhoods, including the city's Binodpur, Talamari, Bhadra have been left without power since the storm, PDB Assistant Engineer Shahin Hossain said.
