Saidur Rahman Paramanik of North Zone was adjudged man-of-the-match for his bowling figures of 10-0-28-5. His bowling did the bulk of the damage to the East Zone batting line-up as they stumbled to 149/9 and a big defeat was looming. For East Zone, they lost top order wickets regularly as Alvi was the only batsman to score significantly as he top-scored with 59.
