Adelani Adepegba, AbujaChairman of the newly inaugurated North-East Development Commission, Maj. Gen. Paul Tarfa (retd. ), has said that the North-East insurgency still posed an existential threat to the nation. He, therefore, stressed the importance of peace-building and conflict resolution which he said must be devoid of vested political interest. Tarfa said this while chairing a one-day Roundtable Review on the North-East Peace-building Initiative organized by the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution in Abuja. He stressed the need for consistent adequate budget for the achievement of peace in the region and the country as a whole.
