The attackers were domestic helps and neighbours of a maid who was allegedly beaten up by one of the residents of Mahagun Moderne, police said. “Most of the protesters were domestic helps, who were angry that a maid was been allegedly beaten up. More than three hundred domestic helps who mostly live in Barola area of Sector 49 assembled outside the gate and started pelting stones. Police officials negotiated with the domestic helps who finally dispersed from the spot. No one has been detained, but cases of pelting stones and rioting would be lodged.
