KUCHING: A massive oil spill at the Batu Kawa bridge near here literally turned the area into a "snowfield" on Saturday (April 27) morning. The landscape on the bridge turned "winter wonderland" after Sarawak Bomba personnel had to use seven tonnes of foam and sand to contain the spill. Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department in its updates said the spill happened at about 8.30am on Saturday. "A concrete mixer truck had an accident on the bridge, causing the oil spill to spread about 500m along the bridge. "Bomba personnel used seven tonnes of sand and foam to contain the spill," said Sarawak Bomba.
