more-inThe State government on Wednesday informed the Kerala High Court that after a detailed verification of files at the secret section of the Police Headquarters it was found that no files were missing. On qualitative verification of files, it was revealed that no files from T section were missing. The government had earlier submitted that as ADGP, Headquarters, Mr. Thachankary did not deal with the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB). Therefore, he could not interfere with the investigation or the conduct of the case against him pending before the Muvattupuzha Vigilance court. As for the allegations against Mr. Thachankary while he was the Transport Commissioner, the government had earlier informed the court that the Vigilance Director had given a directive to complete the investigation expeditiously.
