US President Donald Trump subjected Islamabad to stern criticism on Monday, saying the country had given nothing but “lies and deceit” to Washington in return for billions of dollars. He also once again accused the country of providing safe havens to terrorists, a charge Pakistan has vehemently denied. “We don’t want to pull a fight with any country,” Shehbaz told reporters at a ceremony held in Lahore in connection with the Safe City project on Thursday. “There’s no respect in living while carrying a begging bowl,” he remarked. He went on to say that it is better for a nation to die than to live with such disrespect.
