The family of the late Yvonne Wamalwa has asked leaders to avoid politics during her burial on Saturday. Trans Nzoia governor Patrick Khaemba said the family has sent a request to those who will attend the burial not to politicise the ceremony. “This time we have changed the mass will be conducted at the Milimani compound where we have enough space and all mourners should gather by 9 am,” burial committee vice chairman John Makete said. “She was a friend and a servant of the people,” former Prime Minister Raila Odinga said. President Uhuru Kenyatta and his political rival Raila Odinga are expected to meet at the funeral for the first time since Odinga was sworn in on Tuesday as the People’s president.
