KUALA LUMPUR: No other party or political movement apart from than Umno can ensure survival of the Malays in Malaysia. Johor Wanita Umno delegate Haliza Abdullah, from Batu Pahat, said Umno had successfully led the Malays, as well as the country, in the past century and is able to successfully continue to do so. "There is no other Malay political power like Umno. "(And) Umno will continue to focus on the future of Malays and the country," she said while debating the policy speech at the Umno General Assembly today. "Furthermore, if there were no challenges and obstacles, how can Umno improve and continue to shape the future of the Malays in this 21st century?," she said.
