SEPANG: There are other security measures that can be put in place instead of preventing non-passengers from entering airport terminals, Malaysia Airports Holding Bhd (MAHB) managing director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said. “The focus should not only be on whether non-passengers can come into terminals as there are many aspects of airport security. Commenting on reports that the Government was considering banning non-passengers to boost security, he said MAHB was in talks with the Government on the matter. He said MAHB had employed additional auxiliary police and non-uniformed police personnel in the terminals to profile people who might pose a threat. He said that after the Brussels Airport attack in March this year, the European Union had looked into restricting access to airport terminals to only passengers but had not gone ahead with the idea.
