PETALING JAYA: There was no joy for mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie as they came up short in the final of the Thailand Open. 33 Soon Huat-Shevon, who were bidding for their first GP Gold title, had no answers to reigning world junior champions He Jiting-Du Yue of China as they lost 13-21, 21-16, 12-21 on Sunday. It is a disappointing finish for the national No. 3 as they failed to recapture the form which saw them beat world No. 9 and top seeds Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand in the semi-finals.
