With constant attacks on policemen in Mumbai and other parts of the state, the director general of police (DGP) Satish Mathur has made it clear that no 'dadagiri' will work against the police department. According to a police statistics, at least 219 policemen have been assaulted in Mumbai alone till August, in 2016. Several cases have been registered for manhandling and disrespecting the policemen," said Mathur. Speaking of the convicted for manhandling a policeman, he said, "We are soon going to make the amendment for strict actions under such cases." We are also requesting the people to not get influenced under any local politician's hood, and take wise steps."
