PETALING JAYA: There is no attempt to remove anybody from the party, be it Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi or Datuk Seri Najib Razak, says Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan. "The question of removing anyone from their positions in Umno through amendments to the party constitution does not arise. There is no attempt at pushing out anyone (from the party)," said Mohamad, who is currently carrying out the duties of Umno President Ahmad Zahid. Mohamad said it was not true that he wanted to oust Ahmad Zahid through the proposed party constitution amendment. Former Prime Minister Najib resigned as party president right after the last general election, paving the way for Ahmad Zahid to step in as president.
