Due to this, the NPP will counter every criticisms from the ruling party directed at the party's flagbearer, Nana Addo. John Boadu noted that though President John Dramani Mahama and his appointees are making up stories about Nana Addo and deceiving Ghanaians about the NPP flagbearer's personality, their height of absurd allegations was when they (NDC) accused him (Nana Addo) of being a "dictator". "...under no measure can you even describe Nana Addo as a dictator. “There is no political party whose members have been persecuted with three other political parties formed out of that persecution....nothing in the annals of this country's political history can beat what happened in the NDC.
