No Change in US Visa Rules for Ethiopians - Embassy OfficialFebruary 28, 2017 - The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa said Ethiopians can apply for visas as usual, according to FBC. No changes have been made on visa application processes under the Executive Order 13769 for Ethiopian applicants, the Embassy told FBC today. “Things are as they were before the Executive Order,” said Chase Thompson, Visa Section Vice Consul at the Embassy of the United States of America in Addis Ababa. According to the Vice Consul, there is small change in visa interview waiver program, which has limited the time frame for those individuals who seek to do an interview waiver program. The Vice Consul stated that the visa program will continue in the future as usual.
