Rhode Island (18-6, 10-2) had its 10-game winning streak snapped in the first of two matchups between the two conference teams. Fatts Russell finished with 19 points and Tyrese Martin added 15 points and eight boards for the Rams. Led by six points from Toppin, Dayton scored the first 17 points to take control of the game.
