24 Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers 76-64 on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb. Dread and Jones made back-to-back treys as Penn State knotted the score at 13. After Thorbjarnarson’s 3-pointer gave Nebraska a 20-18 advantage, Penn State scored nine straight to go ahead, 27-20 and never trailed again. Jones paced Penn State with eight first-half points, while Thorbjarnarson and Cheatham led the way with 10 points each for Nebraska. The Penn State defense was stifling, holding the Cornhuskers to just 38.7 percent from the field.
