Maxey responded with a pair of foul shots and a jumper, and Kentucky led by seven with 4:02 left. Hagans responded with a jumper, but Disu hit a 3 with 7:31 left in the half, giving VU a two-point lead. Lee and Disu led all scorers with 10 points each at half.
