BENGALURU: Karnataka should grab Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari 's final offer towards the longpending peripheral ring road project for Bengaluru , say experts. Karnataka was counting on central assistance for the project after the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) refused funding for land acquisition. The Karnataka government wanted the Centre to foot three-fourth of the land acquisition cost.Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should lap up Gadkari's offer, Biocon chief Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw told ET. "Farmers say that if you want to build a road that is just 75 metres, first return the 25 metres. "Additional Chief Secretary (urban development) Mahendra Jain said he would follow up Gadkari's offer with the chief minister's office as well as the Centre.
