Command Hospital doctors have sent his body fluid samples to the National Institute of Virology in Pune to check whether he had the Nipah virus. "We don't know whether it was Nipah virus infection. The results will determine if it was Nipah virus," the officer said. "We never suspected any of these patients to have the Nipah virus," director Chakraborty said. "So, we didn't send their blood samples to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for confirmatory tests.
