Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea were all credited with interest in Semenyo, but have backed off after City made progress in talks. Those negotiations have gone well and the 25-year-old is expected to join the Premier League title-chasers in the early weeks of January after netting eight goals in 16 league games.
