According to him, about 50 percent of the members are men who have been recruited from his constituency, Ablekuma South, Ablekuma Central, Weija-Gbawe and Ashaiman. He said the men, who hundred persons were recruited from his constituency were used to cause mayhem in his constituency during the 2016 elections. The Minister of State in charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong, has dismissed suggestions De-Eye Group, is a threat to national security. He also said his Ministry is not aware of the group as an appendage of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
