The deceased has been identified as Johurul Islam Bhola, 60, the night guard of a warehouse owned by local businessman Farhad Hossain. Police found Johurul's body with severe injury marks and his right hand was dismembered. Confirming, Rangpur Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Sajedul Islam said: "The warehouse’s owner Farhad Hossain told me that the warehouse has been looted. Farhad told me that someone known to the night guard might have called him out of the warehouse as he usually sleeps there with the door locked.
