Shrewsbury Town have made their third signing of the transfer window after agreeing a deal for Stevenage midfielder Nick Freeman that runs until the end of the season. Freeman, 30, has been with the Hertfordshire club since June 2023, making 86 appearances. However, he has not played a first-team game this season and joins Salop with the club only one point clear of the relegation zone in League Two. All round, he's a really good footballer who knows the level, and he'll be a very good addition for us." Town, beaten 6-1 by Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Cup at the weekend, face a vital game against next-to-bottom Harrogate at Croud Meadow on Saturday.
