Kohberger, 28, chose to “stand silent” during his arraignment on Monday, refusing to participate in the hearing or enter a plea. The judge entered a not guilty plea on Kohberger’s behalf, and a trial date of October 2nd was set. Kohberger is alleged to have broken into the house where six University of Idaho students were staying on November 13, 2022, and killed Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Kaylee Goncalves. Two other students who were in the house at the time survived and were not treated as suspects. The suspect’s lawyer has not commented on the case, and Kohberger still has not spoken publicly about the allegations.
