New poll shows tight margin between Labour and National, and NZ First is out

The Newshub-Reid Research poll released Sunday evening signalled a tight election, with Labour closing a small margin with Parliament's largest party, National. National dropped 0.6 per cent from the last Newshub-Reid Research poll in October, to 43.3 per cent. National leader Simon Bridges has ruled out working with NZ First and leader Winston Peters after the election. Across polls, Labour leader Jacinda Ardern has continued to lead the "preferred prime minister" rankings. Sunday's Newhub-Reid Research poll had her at 38.7 per cent, whereas Bridges gained 3.9 percentage points to reach 10.6 per cent.
