New bishop for Diocese of BaguioThe Holy Father Pope Francis has named Monsignor Victor Bendico of the Archdiocese of Capiz as the new bishop of the Diocese of Baguio succeeding 77-year-old Bishop Carlito Cenzon, whose resignation has been accepted by the Pontiff. Monsignor Victor Bendico of the Archdiocese of Capiz“I am looking forward to serving the people of Baguio and that we will be able to work hand in hand. He said that he had been to Baguio for only about six times so he is not that familiar with the place, language, and the culture. “I would like to thank the Holy Father, Pope Francis, for the trust and confidence he has given me to shepherd the people of Baguio. Bendico will serve as the sixth bishop of the Diocese of Baguio, one of the oldest ecclesiastical territories in the country.
