A peek into awesome US military hardwareUSS BONHOMME RICHARDClark Air Base, Pampanga — It is not the first time the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) of the US Marine Corps has “landed” in the Philippines. Last week, journalists from CNN Philippines, GMA-7, and Manila Bulletin were given a glimpse of the 31st MEU’s awesome military hardware. The group was then flown in an MV-22B Osprey to the USS Bonhomme Richard, the flagship of the US Seventh Fleet’s Expeditionary Task Group Seven. The Bonhomme Richard is an amphibious transport and dock landing ship, one of several US ships taking part in PHIBLEX 33.
