New Zealand must centralise national sevens programmes

But last week, New Zealand men's coach Gordon Tietjens appealed for New Zealand to centralise the men's programme or risk losing their edge. New Zealand Rugby must join the world in centralising their sevens programme, or risk more woe beyond the Rio Games. "We think there is more use in having our players living in the provinces and inspiring the next generation of sevens players," he said. That plan of action isn't working, and money must be spent to bring the squads together and return New Zealand to the top of the sevens world.
