New Zealand dog triallist Ian (Ginger) Anderson, of Omarama, won the short head title after competing in Southland. Veteran dog triallist Ian (Ginger) Anderson and his new champion dog Jet were back at work on Sunday working cattle days after securing the short head New Zealand title. It’s the first New Zealand title Jet has won, and it’s not a bad start for a four-year-old, Anderson said. Dickison had a successful run at the New Zealand Championship dog trials in Southland, also coming 5th in the short head with his dog Cole. Another Southlander landed a New Zealand title with Brian Dickison, of Waikaka, with Cole winning the long head title with 195.50 points.
