On the fortieth anniversary of his seminal album “Clics Modernos”, Charly García will be immortalized on the NYC street corner where the album’s famous cover photo was taken. The street art behind García in the pic was later destroyed during the construction of a hotel. Nonetheless, “Charly García Corner” has profiles on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube, where it has thousands of dedicated followers. García, now 71, is the defining Argentine rock act of the 20th century. The band was acclaimed among critics and the public for its folk rock sound and singable lyrics.
