Elmhurst Hospital in Queens received several thousand masks from the New York Beauty Suppliers Association and another 100,000 is expected from Apollo Global Management Inc. New York state has received nearly two million masks from Apple Inc.And Mount Sinai Health Network, one of the city’s largest private hospital systems, has been buying masks in China through backchannel relationships, including securing private planes to convey them.
