The Met Office has issued warnings of high wind, heavy rainfall and snow for the next two weeks up to 2 January 2025 which will impact England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.In England, four yellow warnings are in place. On December 30, a wind warning will affect the North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Another wind warning will be in effect from 7 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, covering the northeast of England, East Yorkshire, and the northwest. The leading indicator of rainfall and snow is now having an impact on almost the entirety of Scotland and may lead to flooding and disruption to travel. The Met Office has issued weather warnings for most regions including England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.The weather warnings are set to last from December 30 through January 2, with some areas experiencing strong winds and heavy rain during the New Year's holiday period.
