In light of the crisis, a local property developer has stepped up its effort by manufacturing its own masks and donating 300,000 ‘Made-in-HK’ masks for children from underprivileged families. With the masks distributed through non-profit organisations (NGOs), the initiative spares disadvantaged families the concerns from searching for masks for their kids. The Group will donate further batches of kids masks in the future. “As the pandemic progressively worsens, the shortage of protective gear means that low-income families and their kids are facing a higher risk of infection. Low-income families and disadvantaged groups can collect a free pack of five masks produced by the Group from the dispensers via contactless ‘smart redemption cards’ every week.
